SOLD! SOLD! 2-4-13 Florida Highway Patrol 1992 Special Service Mustang. This is only one of three very rare Red Mustangs ever used by the Florida Highway Patrol. The car was retired 4/10/99, with only 86K miles being put on it. The car has been displayed around the State of Florida and has been put into a collection to preserve a piece of American history. This car has been used by the Florida Highway Patrol throughout the years for the State Fair and several parades , the car has always patrolled the Tampa Bay area Troop C, we have pictures of the Trooper who drove the car posing in front of it that goes with the sale. We know this Trooper personally who gave us all the original equipment that was given to him when the car was retired, all was reinstalled and is just about 100% correct per how this car was in service. The car stays in our museum 365 day's year round on display along with multiple other FHP units, the car has some rare features like manual window cranks, which were ordered from '92 up. The car was ordered with an AOD automatic transmission, which 99% of the unmarked cars came with, unlike the marked units that all came with manual transmissions. This car has plenty of documentation, we bought the car in 99 at the auction and still have the original title in hand, the car has always been factory Red and was repainted by the FHP in 98 due to paint fade.
